Who we are
Plainscope prepares carbon footprints, Carbon Reduction Plans and tender answers for UK businesses. For any question about your data, email hello@plainscope.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you contact us or use the form on our website: your name, work email, company and anything you choose to tell us.
- If you become a customer: the business records you send us to prepare your documents, such as energy bills, fuel and mileage records, waste notes and supplier spend.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call (our legitimate interest in responding to you).
- To prepare and deliver the documents you have asked for (to perform our contract with you).
- To keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for anything else.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run the business, such as our website host, email provider and file storage, and a qualified reviewer who checks plans before they are delivered. Each is bound to keep your data confidential.
How long we keep it
Enquiries: up to 12 months if you don't become a customer. Customer records: for as long as we work together and for up to 6 years afterwards for accounting purposes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner where we're allowed to.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@plainscope.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
